Haha not nearly that much. Neither of us make as much money as it seems. We both spent ALL of our money that didn't go into our houses on cars.

My dad only takes vacations to pick up cars he found.

I only go on vacation if I'm forced to cause it's a bachelor party or wedding.

He's been cheap with furniture too. He didn't even have a sofa in his family room until recently. There was nowhere to sit when I went to his house cause there was only a chair for him and his gf. They finally got a new sofa and it's cheap. But it's comfy

It just leads to some hilarious scenarios. I had just moved into a new apartment in college and had no bed yet. I met this girl at a party who decided to make out with me. She said she wanted to come back to my place and I warned her that I had no furniture. I don't think she believed me cause when she got there she was like "oh crap you literally don't have a bed"

Imagine having a beater 360 and being on Oppo. I dunno about God status cause that's still reserved only for CAC. But it would be hilarious to poke fun at Doug. Every time Doug made a post about his 360 I would make a counter post about my beater Ferrari. Problem: Car will startup and idle, albeit rough for a minute or two. It will run until the oil temp. gauge gets up to about 120, in which case, it will surge a bit, struggle to idle, and die/stall. Here are some videos of it happening.

Watch the last 20 seconds of this and you'll see the problem.

I don't know about the K jetronic.

My 914 with D jetronic did somewhat the same thing. It would start up fine, go from 1100- then 1800 rpms and then almost die. I would have to hold the throttle to about 2k for it to warm up and then run fine. A couple of random things.

1) check all vacuum lines

2) make sure all wires fully plugged in. (I accidentally hit one of my spark plug wires off and couldn't believe how shitty it ran.)

The original Aux Air valve wasn't working. I sprayed the piss out of it with penetrating oil. (early ones were just a crappy bi-metallic spring) Also when the PO put the car away was having a couple problems, (he said with the injectors), as a result the fuel pressure was cranked waaaayy up( on a 914 its on top of the "computer"). The result was a cool pa pa pa when letting off WOT, but nearly stalling when starting cold.

Its is often the default statement for old cars. make sure they are on snug and don't just slide off. Or are cracked/kinked.
